In this case, our client, a registered nurse, was charged with murdering her mother-in-law by intentionally injecting her with a lethal dose of long-lasting insulin. The prosecutors alleged that our client did this to avoid her mother-in-law discovering a forged check. The mother-in-law was a Type II diabetic, and Mitch showed that his client was merely negligent in administering the insulin. She was found not guilty of murder.

Prosecutors alleged that our client, a mentally disabled person, starved her 3-week-old son to death. Mitch showed that the baby had been properly fed but that he had severe acid reflux that prevented the intake of nutrition. She was found not guilty of murder.
US vs. KM
U.S. District Court, Dublin Division
Federal prosecutors charged our client, along with 10 others, of being a part of a methamphetamine trafficking organization. Mitch showed that our client had no involvement in the organization and was simply an acquaintance of one of the defendants. Mitch obtained a dismissal of all of the federal charges.

Our client was rear-ended by a vehicle traveling at 55 mph. He herniated disks in his neck and back and underwent two surgeries. Mitch’s client was awarded $2.1 million in damages.

Our client was standing under an awning at a new convenience store when, without any warning, the awning collapsed and fell on top of him. Our client suffered two broken vertebrae that required surgery. Mitch proved negligent design and construction of the convenience store, and his client was awarded $835,000.

Our client died of cardiac arrest almost 15 hours after having gastric bypass surgery. Mitch proved that the hospital and the surgeon were negligent in not realizing his client was bleeding internally. Mitch was able to settle with the defendants for an undisclosed sum.

Law enforcement tried to initiate a traffic stop of a motorcycle on which our client was riding as a passenger. The driver fled and law enforcement engaged in a high-speed pursuit. After reaching speeds of over 120 mph, the motorcycle left the road, killing our 18-year-old client. Mitch proved that law enforcement violated their high-speed pursuit policies and settled with the defendants for an undisclosed sum.
